Cecil Leitch Golf Tournament 2023
Friday 30th June saw the 66th Cecil Leitch 5 Club final held at the splendid Faversham Golf Club.
Basking in glorious sunshine 71 finalists, men and women competed on a stunning golf course.
In the Men’s competition Paul Endicott of Hever Castle Golf Club , with a score of 40 points, won the trophy after a three-way tie with all places being decided on a countback of the last nine holes.
Mens’ Result

2nd place Jim Richards of Canterbury G.C.off a handicap of 17 with 40 points.
3rd place William Hayes of Westerham G.C. off a handicap of 24 with 40 points.
Nearest the pin on the 16th hole was Scott Whyte of Marriott Tudor Park GC .
Longest drive on 12th hole was Ben Anderson of Faversham G.C.
Ladies’ Result.
In the Ladies’ competition Wendy Skiller of Wrotham Heath GC off a handicap of 27 , with an equally impressive score of 39 points took the trophy
after a countback of the last nine holes.

2nd place was Amanda Sendall of Westerham G.C. off a handicap of 27 with 39 points.
3rd place went to Carrie Beech of Upchurch G.C. off a handicap of 20 with 37 points.
Nearest the pin on 16th hole was Carrie Beech of Upchurch G.C.
Longest drive on the 18th hole was won by Janet James of Ashford G.C..
Conditions were very good although the wind rose during the afternoon.
Our thanks go to the committee and all officials and members of Faversham GC including Paul Smith, Club Manager,and all officials for allowing the KCPFA to use their course and to Club Captain, Nick Sage and Club President Pam Bentley for attending and presenting prizes to all winners. A special mention to Rob Clark, Head Green keeper who presented the golf course in immaculate condition. Finally, a big thank you to Kevin Riley, Head Chef and Jo and all her staff who looked after us and all finalists on the day.
