Enjoyed another successful year with its usual programme. The Kent Schools County Championships at Rochester & Cobham G C were won by Tom Bayliss (Erith School) and Jessica Gregory (Highstead G S).The latter had previously won the Kent Ladies Championship.

Kent hosted the South of England Championships at Canterbury in May and Matthew Gillie ( Simon Langton G S ) won the Boys Championship with two sub par rounds. He went on to represent Kent Schools at the National Schools Championships in Lincolnshire along with Russell Greenhill (Kent) College, David Arnold (The Harvey G S ) . and Mark Collins (Homewood School),Collins finished in 9th place and went on to represent English Schools for the second year running.

The winners in the Division Two County Championship were Carl Burrows and Charlie Harris ( both Sittingbourne Community College) and Nicola Smith (Highstead G S) who won the girls championship.

In inter county matches, Kent beat Middlesex, Surrey and Berkshire in the annual encounters.Much of what the Kent Schools Golf Association achieves would not be possible without the financial support of the Kent County Playing Fields Association and we are extremely grateful for the help we receive.
