The Kent County Playing Fields Association Charity marked its 90th anniversary with a dinner fundraiser at The London Beach Golf & Spa Hotel, St. Michael’s, Tenterden on Friday 17th June 2016. Some 100 guests enjoyed a selection of canapes and drinks upon arrival, before sitting down to a three course dinner, during which entertainment was provided by Mantissa Opera who performed several arias and some famous songs from popular musicals.

Guests also participated in a raffle where several prizes were won, including £115 gift voucher for Maude Sport, a golf trolley and wine, among several other items. Followed by an auction where successful bidders obtained holidays to Spain, V.I.P tickets to Twickenham to watch England against South Africa in the Autumn Rugby Internationals, 2 tickets for the INVESTEC test match cricket at the Kia Oval for England vs Pakistan, with many more items, which together raised over £5,000 on the night. KCPFA President, Robert Horner, described the event as “a splendid occasion, enjoyed by all our guests”.

Attached pictures show President, Robert Horner receiving a cheque for £3,295 from London Beach Hotel representative Fernando, on behalf of the Savannah Charitable Trust who kindly donated the value of all food on the evening back to the KCPFA. A huge thank you to the trustees of the Savannah Trust for their generosity. We would also like to thank the London Beach Hotel, particularly Sue Brown, Event Co-Ordinator and all staff, including Fernando and Tamas for making the KCPFA and all it’s guests welcome.
