The Kent County Playing Fields Association has recently launched the above award scheme and applications for financial assistance are invited from young sportsmen and women in Kent towards the net cost of expenses falling within the following criteria:

 The assistance should be for the sporting benefit of young people between 12 and 20 years of age;

 The benefits to the participants should be quantifiable;

 The assistance may include the provision of personal coaching, training, travel or accommodation and portable sporting equipment for the benefit of the applicant only.

 The applicant should provide a statement of attainment and preferably be at county standard in their respective sport.

 Successful applicants would be expected to endorse the KCPFA. The conditions are not onerous, but do ask that a representative of the Association be invited to any event, that support from the Association is acknowledged in any publicity material and press releases, and that following an event; a photograph is sent to the Association with a short report on the activities.

The maximum award will be £300 and payable to the applicant following a successful request and application process unless a request for payment, or part payment, in advance is approved by the Association.

Applications will be accepted throughout the year and awards made quarterly.
